At the time of the incident, she was employed as an RN and one of the admins at a healthcare facility in Mission, Texas, and had been in that position for five (5) months..

On or about September 4, 2021, through October 4, 2021, while employed as an RN and one of the admins at a healthcare facility in Mission, Texas, RN failed to place the resident on special precautions after the resident groped residents, punched staff, and asked residents to perform fellatio. RN's conduct was likely to injure the residents and staff in that it created an unsafe environment and may have unnecessarily exposed the residents and staff to emotional, physical, and/or psychological harm.

In response, RN states there were multiple incidents that were not reported by direct care staff to administrative staff. RN states if proper training would have been provided to administration, the October 4th incident would have been prevented and the behaviors would have been addressed sooner.

The above action constitutes grounds for disciplinary action in accordance with Section 301.452(b)(10)&(13) Texas Occupations Code, and is a violation of 22 TEX ADMIN. CODE §217.11 (1)(A),(1)(B),(1)(M)&(1)(P) and 22 TEX. ADMIN. CODE §217.12 (1)(A),(1)(B)&(4).

Because of this, the RN was summoned by the Texas Board of Nursing to defend her side, but the RN failed to hire a nurse attorney to help her with her case and without proper defense, the Texas Board of Nursing then decided to place her RN license under disciplinary action.
