As a newly graduated nurse, I made the difficult decision to self-report a medication error after feeling overwhelmed with a complex patient assignment. I was terrified and uncertain about my future—until I found Attorney Yong J. An. I truly thank God for leading me to him. His experience and dedication helped me get into a deferred program, which is incredibly rare. This means the disciplinary record will be public for only three years, and then be dismissed and become confidential. I know how uncommon this opportunity is, and I feel truly blessed to have received it. Because of Attorney An and his amazing team, I can continue my nursing career with a clean record, grow from this experience, and keep doing what I love, helping and caring for patients. This second chance means everything to me. Thank you, Atty. An and your team, for saving my license and helping me move forward with strength and purpose.
To any nurse who needs to hear this:
I’ve been where you are—walking through the fire of the Board process, feeling the weight of uncertainty, fear, or even shame. But let me tell you this.. I know exactly how you’re feeling, and you are not alone.
This journey is tough, but if you put your faith in God and trust the process with Atty. An, you will prevail. I can honestly say, looking back, I have no regrets. There’s light ahead, even when it feels impossible to see.
Keep fighting. Keep believing. Your story isn’t over yet
