Any type of accusations can be defended, as long as there is a skilled Texas BON Case lawyer ready to assist you during the hearing before the Board of Nursing. The Texas Board of Nursing has full jurisdiction regarding cases that may affect an RN or LVN’s license from suspension, disciplinary action or revocation.

On or about July 6, 2019, while employed as a Registered Nurse in a medical facility in Austin, the RN engaged in the intemperate use of Marijuana and Alcohol while on call or duty, taking care of a hospice continuing care patient in the patient’s home.

Because of this, the RN was summoned by the Texas Board of nursing to hear her side of the story. However, the RN failed to appear at the court and she also failed to hire a nurse attorney to help her defend her case.

The RN was arrested for POSS MARIJUANA, a Class B misdemeanor, and PUBLIC INTOXICATION-DRUNKIN PUBLIC, a Class C misdemeanor, at the patient’s home. Her condition could have affected his ability to recognize subtle signs, symptoms, and/or changes in the hospice patient’s condition, and could have affected his ability to make rational, accurate, appropriate assessments, judgements, and decisions thereby placing the patient in potential danger.

Because of this incident, the Texas Board of Nursing then subjected the RN and her license into disciplinary action.

The accusation would have been defended by an experienced and skilled Texas BON case lawyer, had the RN hired one. Hiring a Texas BON case lawyer for defense is applicable for any kind of accusation laid against an RN or LVN.
