As a nurse, there are a lot of responsibilities to take care of and need to be done properly. Even a single error can harm a patient and it can put you into a bad situation that you did not wish to be in. You can be accused of a lot of stuff, like being accused of lacked fitness to practice, inaccurate documentation, drug-related issues, and many more. There is only one way to prove your innocence or to lighten the sanction that you will be receiving or to protect your license from suspension or revocation, the only way is to have a nurse attorney during these hard times. A nurse attorney is there to help you deal with any cases.

At the time of the initial incident, an RN was employed as a Registered Nurse at a hospital in Temple, Texas, and had been in that position for five (5) months.

An incident happened on or about September 21, 2018, an RN incorrectly drew up 3 milliliters of Ibuprofen for a patient. The order she entered was for 6.25 milliliters. The error was noted by another nurse double-checking the dosage before it was administered to the patient. The RN’s conduct exposed the patient to a risk of harm in that failure to administer medications as ordered by the physician could have resulted in the non-efficacious treatment of the patient’s pain.

In response to the incident, the RN states that she poured the Ibuprofen into a medicine cup and that another nurse said she should use a syringe. The RN states that when she drew up the medication into the syringe it didn’t pull up to the ordered dose. The RN states that she has now started drawing liquid medicine up with a syringe.

As a result, the RN will be subject to discipline may be given a sanction for the inappropriate actions that she did. It is that the evidence received is sufficient enough to put the RN into disciplinary action. The RN could have not been in such a situation if she had consulted and hired a nurse attorney for the case.
