On or about September 9, 2016, through September  10, 2016, the RN falsely documented in the medical record of a patient in that she stated she performed two-person Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR) with the caregiver doing breaths.  However, the patient’s caregiver denied assisting in CPR.

Because of this, the RN was summoned by the Texas Board of Nursing to defend her side. She explains that that she entered the room where the patient was unresponsive, checked for breathing and pulse and then started CPR while the care giver called 911. Furthermore, the RN states that the care giver helped her move the patient off the bed and aligns the patient’s neck, but she performed one-person CPR.

However, the Board thinks that this conduct displayed by the RN was misleading and created an inaccurate medical record,

Furthermore, the Registered Nurse failed to hire an experienced nurse attorney to help her with her case. Because of this, the Texas Board of Nursing (BON) suspended and disciplined the Registered Nurse.
