Whenever someone filed a complaint against you, your license could be put in danger if not defended by a Texas nurse defense attorney. An LVN from San Antonio, Texas is just one of the many examples of nurses who have been disciplined by the Texas Board of Nursing.

At the time of the initial incident, the LVN was employed in San Antonio and had been in that position for ten (10) months.

On or about February 8, 2019, the LVN failed to check the blood pressure and pulse of a patient at 0800, as scheduled and as ordered by the physician, and she failed to document the patient’s blood pressure and pulse.

Additionally, the LVN failed to administer Losartan to the patient, as ordered, and failed to document that she administered Losartan in the patient’s medication administration record (MAR).

Her conduct was likely to injure the patient from undetected changes in blood pressure, may have resulted in non-efficacious treatment, and/or created an incomplete medical record.

On or about February 18, 2019,the LVN failed to administer multiple scheduled medications to eight patients as ordered by the physician, and failed to document that she administered the medications in the patients’ medication administration records (MARS).

Her conduct may have resulted in non-efficacious treatment. and created incomplete medical records.

During the hearing, the LVN denies that she failed to administer all scheduled medications to the patients, and denies that she failed to check the blood pressures and pulses of the patients. She admits she failed to complete her documentation because she did not have enough time.

However, the LVN failed to hire a Texas nurse defense attorney to help her with her case. Because of this, the Texas Board of Nursing suspended and disciplined the LVN.
