Hiring the right nurse attorney could help you against nurse license complaints that you denied because you’re falsely accused. However, an RN at El Paso, Texas failed to do so after denying without the aid of a nurse attorney. The RN’s license was subjected to disciplinary action and proceedings as a result of her lack of professional assistance.

There were two allegations against the RN, whereas the first incident occurred on May 16, 2012. She administered 500mg of Clozapine to a patient without the authorization of a physician. The incident would have likely injured the patient, as well as suffer the following adverse effects: seizures, respiratory arrest, and tachycardia.

The second incident occurred on January 15, 2013, when the RN withdrew one tab of Clonazepam 0.5mg from a patient’s medication dispensing system. However, she failed to document the wastage of the unused portions, leaving them all unaccounted for. This could have placed the pharmacy under violation, while the RN could have deceived the hospital and pharmacy.

The Texas Board of Nursing summoned the RN for a hearing. The RN was given a chance to defend the case filed against her. However, she denied all accusations as she was not accounted for all of the actions, and she followed all proper procedures well.

However, despite her denial against the actions, the Texas Board of Nursing still placed her under disciplinary proceedings for her to adhere even more to the hospital and pharmacy policies in the future. She could have hired a nurse attorney for further assistance, given the fact that the RN denied the two accusations against her.
