The Texas Board of Nursing (BON) has the jurisdiction to hear and decide cases involving the practice of professional nursing in Texas. Any RN or LVN found guilty for violating the state laws and regulations may be subjected to a disciplinary case if not properly defended by a nurse attorney.

During an Online Renewal Document to the Texas Board of Nursing, the RN failed to disclose that she was recently arrested and charged for DWI.

Because of this, the RN was summoned by the Texas Board of Nursing to hear her side of the story. However, she was not able to provide good defense and an experienced nurse attorney to help her defend her side.

As a result, the RN was sentenced to probation and ordered to pay an amount. She was disciplined warning to a suspension of her RN license by violating the Texas Board of Nursing regulation.
